P2S is providing MEPT design services for the seismic retrofit project at Cosmopolis Elementary School in the Cosmopolis School District. This project will develop designs for mechanical and electrical systems to accommodate the recommended structural improvements.
The Cosmopolis Elementary School of ~ 35,000 sq ft is undertaking a seismic retrofit of the facility based on a seismic assessment by the Washington Geological Survey. The changes required for seismic and architectural improvements will impact the building’ s existing mechanical and electrical systems.
This includes the temporary removal of existing mechanical and electrical equipment and systems to facilitate architectural and structural requirements, with subsequent re-installation, at various locations in the building. Our team is also assisting with the bracing of exterior piping and conduit that may be impacted by site liquefaction and the relocation of building plumbing systems to facilitate architectural and structural requirements, including waste and vent piping located below grade, both inside and outside the building.
