Spend a full day in Tarangire National Park, appreciating a diverse array of animals and taking in sweeping views of its landscapes dotted with baobab trees, better known as the“ Tree of Life.”

Depart for the Karatu district, stopping along the way at Mto Wa Mbu Village, where we’ ll walk to a market before visiting a local home to help prepare some traditional dishes. While there, enjoy a Home- Hosted Lunch.

DAY 13 • Full-day game-viewing drive in Ngorongoro Crater
Set off on a morning game-viewing drive through the Ngorongoro Crater. Later, enjoy a picnic lunch before climbing through the cloud forest and out of the Crater floor.

DAY 14 • Hadzabe & Datoga villages • Conversation about child prostitution in Karatu
Visit with the Hadzabe and Datoga tribes. During a conversation about child prostitution in Karatu, we’ ll learn about the social and economic conditions that force many Tanzanian girls into this line of work.

Join our optional Serengeti Hot Air Balloon Ride tour featuring a pre-dawn game-viewing drive and a hot-air balloon ride. Then, meet with park guides for a conversation about poaching in Serengeti National Park before setting off on our daily gameviewing excursions.

Fly to Arusha and visit a workshop of disabled artisans. Then, fly back to the U. S. or begin the post-trip extension to Uganda: The Pearl of Africa Revealed.
