DAY 9 • Lagoa das Sete Cidades 4x4 excursion • Pineapple plantation visit
Today, board 4x4 vehicles for an exploration of Lagoa das Sete Cidades, a geologic complex nestled in the crater of a dormant volcano. Later, visit a pineapple plantation to learn about the unique qualities of this Azorean export.

DAY 10 • Fly to Madeira • Transfer to Funchal • City & wine tour
Fly to Madeira, another autonomous Portuguese archipelago. Upon arrival, transfer to the capital, Funchal. Later, embark on a city tour, including a visit to some of the oldest wineries of Madeira.

DAY 11 • Levada walk • Local rum factory We’ ll begin this morning with a walk along a levada, a man-made irrigation channel designed to support local agriculture. Afterwards, we’ ll visit one of the oldest rum factories in the island.

DAY 12 • Funchal • Optional Western Madeira tour This morning, you may join our optional tour to western Madeira, featuring stunning views at the sea cliff of Cabo Girão, lush mountain scenery at the whitewashed village of Curral das Freiras, and local interaction in the fishing village of Câmara de Lobos.
