US Coast Guard , Coast Guard Auxiliary , New Open up Safe Boating Week

M AY 22 , 2021 , in a collective effort , the
United States Coast Guard , the
Woodbridge Township Police Department , the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary Flotilla 04-04 , Seawaren , New Jersey , the New Jersey State Police and the North Jersey Young Marines worked as a team in a joint effort to bring the start of National Safe Boating Week to a full start . The event emphasized the importance of practicing safe procedures when boating and enjoying activities in the water . Mayor John E . McCormac of Woodbridge Township welcomed the team on the banks of the Raritan River . The Mayor mentioned “ Residents need to know that when they are out on the water there is a wealth of support for them .”
The day was a huge success and the team was confident that their efforts made a major impact on the boating community . Organizers for the event included Nirav Patel and Mark Zeno of the Woodbridge PD , George Reilly ,
