Through the IMapinvasives Network, citizens can report invasive species by taking pictures and submitting them to the program (see link on the opposite page).

In July, I participated in a water chesnut "manual pull" on the Lachute River, paddling a kayak to the mouth of the river with 14 people hand-pulling some 700 water chestnut plants -

a great time of fellowship.

I will be arranging events in July and early August, and will be visiting with flotillas and community groups to provide training and education in AIS, water chestnut identification, and the use of iMapInvasives.

I will be seeking volunteers who can see the value in a productive day out on our beautiful waterways.
