Program Visits. Eleven Marinas around Lake Champlain agreed to provide boaters with information about the importance of checking their transoms, props, anchor lines, fishing lines, trailer axles and thoroughly removing aquatic vegetation to prevent the spread of AIS. Installation disposal stations around the lake were provided by the NY Dept of Environmental Conservation and Clean-Drain-Dry stations provided by Vermont DEC. I began monthly monitoring and new outbreaks were found outside South Bay in Dresden NY, Champlain Canal and in the Erie Canal, Rexford NY.
