8. Belief in sharing

Today managers shouldn't keep information from employees it should be shared . Managers need to make sure that the employees can connect to each other and to the information they need to get their jobs done. Managers now rely on employees to help make decisions instead of isolating them from this process and the more informed they are the better.

9. Compliment your employee's strengths

It takes a strong, confident leader to go out on a limb and tell an employee what they're great at. A good manager always acknowledges their employee’s strengths and when they have done a good job. It not only makes employees feel they have done a good job but it shows you care.

10.Motivate people.

Ask the employees how they like their job on a regular basis. Encourage them to be honest with you. Then take action based upon what they tell you.

Offer perks that your employees will value. Promotions and vacations are great. motivators.
