I ’ m 30 years old and I work in a private bank . My wife , 28 , and my daughter ( six months old ) are dependent on me . My parents live with us . My income is `70,000 per month and my father gets `30,000 as pension . I can easily save `42,000 every month . I ’ d like a review of my investment portfolio .
My Investments ( started six months ago ):
■ Systematic Investment Plan ( SIP ) - `34,000 , including `6,000 in ELSS
■ I own a plot of land , which is a gift from my father , worth `35 lakh at present
■ I contribute `2,000 per month to Voluntary Provident Fund ( VPF )
■ `500 per month in Atal Pension Yojana ( APY ) for myself and my spouse
■ `1,000 per month in Sukanya Samriddhi Account ( SSA ) for my daughter
■ `1,100 per month in Public Provident Fund ( PPF )
■ `4,000 per month in National Pension Scheme ( NPS )
■ `35,000 in fixed deposits for 18 months in auto renewal mode
■ `1,000 per month in recurring deposits for 10 years
Liquid cash available :
■ `30,000 ( `20,000 in bank account and `10,000 at home )
My insurance portfolio :
■ Term insurance plan : `1 crore , for which I pay `18,000 yearly
■ Health insurance plan : `25,000 , with a `10 lakh limit , for myself , my spouse and daughter
■ Health insurance plan : `33,000 , with a `13 lakh limit for my parents
■ Critical illness insurance : `7,000 , with an assured value of `20 lakh , for myself
My loan liability to date is nil .
■ I ensure that my credit card bill doesn ’ t go beyond `10,000 in any month .

■ Buy a home in 2023 , with a housing loan of `1 crore . At this time , I will sell my property , whose worth I ’ m expecting to be around `50 lakh in five years . I will put this money into mutual fund and with the dividend payout from this , my home loan EMI will not be a burden on me .
■ Accumulate `1 crore after 18 years for my daughter ’ s education
■ Gift `1.5 crore to my daughter on her marriage after 25 years
■ Ten years from now , I need `50 lakh for interior designing of my house
■ Will need a corpus of `18 crore when I retire after 29 years
