Earlier governments always put their own interest first in distributing power supply to VIP and non VIP districts. Rural areas always have to compromise against the urban sectors and had to face long power cuts. Taking a note of this imbalance Yogi Adityanath gave strict orders to state power corporation to overcome this situation by cutting across regional differences. District headquarters are now getting 24 hour electricity while tehsils are getting 20 hours and villages are getting 18 hours of power supply. Meanwhile about 56000 hamlets have been electrified.
