Creo que todos nosotros esta-
mos un poco asustados en la
vida y hay siempre cambios y
problemas nuevos que afrontar
cada día; así que traté de cana-
lizar todo eso en Ross.
Llegaste en la segunda
temporada cuando muchos
de los actores ya habían
trabajado juntos y se cono-
cían. ¿Cómo fue el recibi-
miento y trabajar con ellos?
¿Podrías contarnos alguna
anécdota del rodaje?
Trabajar en la serie fue un
sueño y todos me hicieron
sentir bienvenido. Tuve gran-
des días en el rodaje, delante
y detrás de las cámaras, e hice
amigos de por vida.
¿Qué signi ca para ti formar
parte del equipo de Outlan-
der?
Fue una gran oportunidad, de
la cual me siento muy agra-
decido. No creo que vuelva a
trabajar en un gran show como
éste otra vez.
Outlander, los protagonis-
tas intentan evitar un he-
cho histórico con una re-
percusión muy importante
en Escocia. ¿Disfrutaste
participando en una serie
histórica que trataba sobre
Escocia? ¿Cuánto sabías

acerca de las Rebeliones Ja-
cobitas antes de participar
en la serie?
Me encantó recrear las es-
cenas de las batallas, y re-
presentar las secuencias de
las peleas; fue un trabajo muy
duro, pero divertido. Creo que
tengo un gran conocimiento de
la Historia de Escocia, pero la
serie me hizo interesarme aún
más.
Eres escocés, ¿qué pien-
sas sobre este período
de la Historia de Escocia?
¿La serie te ha acercado
a esas raíces y tradiciones
escocesas?
Bueno, ésta es la única vez
que he vivido como Claire (ríe),
pero soy feliz de vivir en el siglo
XXI y no en el XVIII. Outlander
nos ha inspirado a Karen y a mi
a visitar localidades por toda
Escocia por primera vez.
Aparte de Ross, tu perso-
naje, ¿cuál es el persona-
je de la serie que más te
gusta o con el que te sien-
tes más identi cado?
Me encantaba Stephen Wal-
ters, que interpretaba a An-
gus. Interpretó al personaje
de forma memorable y para mí
fue uno de los personajes más
destacados.

problems to face each day, so
I tried to channel that into Ross.
You came in the Second
Season when many of the
actors had already worked
together and they
knew
each other. How was the
reception and work with
them? Would you tell us
any shooting anecdote?
Working on the show was a
dream and everyone made me
feel very welcome. I had some
great days on set both on and
o camera and I have made
friends for life.
What did it mean for you
to be part of the Outlander
team?
It was a huge opportunity and
one that I am very grateful of,
not sure I will ever work on as
big a show ever again.
In Outlander, the protago-
nists try to avoid a his-
torical fact with a very
important repercussion in
Scotland. Did you enjoy
participating in a historical
series dealing with Scot-
land? How much did you
know about the Jacobite Re-
bellions before participating
in the series?
I loved recreating the battle
scenes and acting out the gh-
ting sequences it was hard
work but a lot of fun. I think I
had a good understanding of
Scottish history but the show
got me really interested.
You’re Scottish, what do
you think about this stage
of Scottish History? Has
the series brought you clo-
ser to those Scottish roots
and traditions?
Well this is the only time that
I’ve lived unlike Claire (laughs),
but I’m happy to be in the 21st
century and not the 1700s. Out-
lander has inspired Karen and
I to visit locations all around
Scotland for the rst time.
Apart from Ross, your cha-
racter, what is the character
in the series that you like the
most or with which you feel
most identi ed?
I loved Stephen Walters as An-
gus, he made the character so
memorable and for me he was
a stand out of character.
Let’s talk about the shoo-
ting... It’s already known
that the time of Scotland
is a protagonist of the se-
ries. Do you remember a
time that has been especia-
lly di cult due to the wea-
ther? How is a day out in
Outlander?
