When a climber makes the first ascent they name
the route. Like the “Assassin” at Smith, Drew’s
well know climb there is currently considered the
hardest route to date. Left, “Biographie” is a climb
that Drew attempted in France this summer. At
5.15a it would have been the worlds first, but un-
fortunately, as you can see from the photo above
he didn’t make it.
