CARING HEARTS ® volunteers and patient
support
Emotional support and timely communication
from those who have experienced heart issues
are valuable to those who may be experiencing
heart events for the first time. As a result,
Caring Hearts volunteers, a special group of
cardiovascular patients or family members of
patients, served as the hospital’s communication
connection in the waiting rooms of Baylor Scott
& White Heart and Vascular Hospital – Dallas.
These volunteers provided family members with
updates during their loved one’s procedure and
recovery. Additionally, Caring Hearts volunteers
often visited patients and their family members
pre-procedure to answer questions and help
reduce anxiety that may have been present.
