Community Sponsorships
AMERICAN HEART ASSOCIATION
The teams at Baylor Scott & White Heart and Vascular Hospital – Dallas and Baylor Scott & White Heart and Vascular Hospital – Fort Worth are strong supporters of the American Heart Association ’ s ( AHA ) efforts in the fight against cardiovascular disease and stroke . Again in fiscal year 2018 , the hospitals supported the Dallas Heart Walk and Tarrant County Heart Walk in Fort Worth . Employees , physicians on the medical staff , family members , and pets come together for the three-mile walk through downtown Dallas or Fort Worth . More than 600 Baylor Scott & White Health employees attended the annual Dallas or Fort Worth walks in fiscal year 2018 .
In addition to the Heart Walk , the hospitals are also key sponsors for the Spring Galas : Côtes du Coeur in Dallas and the Annual Heart Ball in Tarrant County . During February Heart Month , the leadership team is also involved in the “ Go Red for Women ” luncheons in Fort Worth and Dallas .
The hospital ’ s clinical leaders also participated in the organization ’ s youth mentoring program for STEM careers .
NANCY LIEBERMAN CHARITIES
Supporting Nancy Lieberman Charities has been a long-standing tradition for Baylor Scott & White Heart and Vascular Hospital – Dallas . Proud to support the annual basketball camp for economically challenged and at-risk children across the Metroplex , the hospital ’ s sponsorships pay for 15 to 18 campers annually . Sponsorship of the annual Golf Classic in September 2017 supported the scholarship and back-to-school supplies efforts of the Lieberman Charities .
As a sponsor this past fiscal year of the Dream Ball Gala , the hospital supported the Dream Courts project in its mission to install basketball courts in underserved and at-risk neighborhoods in Dallas . All youth activities associated with the Nancy Lieberman Charities support hearthealthy lifestyle choices and exercise .
Community Volunteerism
The team at Baylor Scott & White Heart and Vascular Hospital - Dallas remained committed to providing all employees with opportunities to be actively involved in the community . This took many forms in fiscal year 2018 , from a leadership position in a community organization including the Dallas Regional Chamber ’ s Young Professionals or North Texas American Heart Association . The Community Advisory Council also provided suggestions to become involved in community organizations . The STARRS * committee of employees met regularly to discuss community involvement and requests from various organizations who needed assistance . The committee was also dedicated to reaching out to economically challenged neighborhoods with heart-healthy information .

Fundraising for several key organizations was supported in fiscal year 2018 . Employees donated their time and money to support a variety of causes :
