PRESS GANEY PATIENT SATISFACTION GUARDIAN AWARD – HCAHPS
Baylor Scott & White Heart and Vascular Hospital was again awarded the Guardian of Excellence Award ® in HCAHPS patient satisfaction . This award recognizes the hospital for a sustained 95th percentile ranking , which is benchmarked nationally against approximate 1,800 other Press Ganey Associates , Inc . hospitals .
WOMEN ’ S CHOICE AWARD – HEART HOSPITAL
Baylor Scott & White Heart and Vascular Hospital - Dallas earned the 2018 Women ’ s Choice Award ® as one of America ’ s Best Hospitals for Heart Care . The award signifies that the hospital is in the top nine percent of 4,789 U . S . hospitals offering heart care services . The Women ’ s Choice Award is the only evidence-based designation that identifies the country ’ s best hospitals based on robust criteria and what women say they want from a hospital .
MISSION : LIFELINE ® GOLD PLUS
Baylor Scott & White Heart and Vascular Hospital has received the Mission : Lifeline ® Gold Plus Receiving Center for implementing specific quality improvement measures outlined by the American Heart Association for the treatment of patients who suffer severe heart attacks .
The American Heart Association ’ s Mission : Lifeline program ’ s goal is to reduce system barriers to prompt treatment for heart attacks , beginning with the 9-1-1 call and continuing through hospital treatment . Baylor Scott & White Heart and Vascular Hospital is recognized for having a greater than 85 percent composite and at least 24 consecutive months of 75 percent or higher compliance on all Mission : Lifeline STEMI Receiving Center quality measures to improve the quality of care for STEMI patients . Baylor Scott & White Heart and Vascular Hospital earned the award by meeting specific criteria and standards of performance for the quick and appropriate treatment of STEMI patients by providing emergency procedures to re-establish blood flow to blocked arteries when needed .
In addition , the American Heart Association ’ s Mission : Lifeline program recognized the hospital for achieving 85 percent or higher composite adherence to all Mission : Lifeline NSTEMI Performance Achievement indicators for consecutive 12-month intervals and 65 percent or greater adherence to Dual Antiplatelet prescription at discharge to improve the quality of care for NSTEMI patients . For both areas of achievement , eligible hospitals must have adhered to these measures at a set level for 12 consecutive months to receive this award . More than 987 hospitals and approximately 1,158 EMS agencies participate in the Mission : Lifeline program . 2017 marks the 10th Anniversary for the AHA ’ s Mission Lifeline program .
ACTION REGISTRY – GET WITH THE GUIDELINES – PLATINUM
Baylor Scott & White Heart and Vascular Hospital is a recipient of the ACTION Registry ® – GWTG™ Platinum Performance Achievement Award . The award recognizes premier participating hospitals that have sustained performance measure score composites of 90 percent or better in the treatment of acute myocardial infarction patients .
