This year marks 25 consecutive years of Baylor University Medical Center being ranked by U . S . News & World Report . For cardiovascular services , Baylor University Medical Center was rated high performing in Aortic Valve Surgery , Heart Bypass Surgery and Congestive Heart Failure .
CENTERS FOR MEDICARE & MEDICAID SERVICES ( CMS ) Baylor Scott & White Heart and Vascular Hospital received five out of five stars for patient satisfaction . The “ 5-Star Rating ” for HCAHPS scores , as noted by CMS include : overall hospital rating , the question on the survey pertaining to “ strongly recommend to others ,” nurse communication , staff responsiveness , and “ care transition .” Five stars were also awarded for quality in fiscal year 2018 for the time period ending June 30 , 2018 .
