Our cardiology medical staff demonstrated commitment this past year to working collaboratively on quality outcomes and patient satisfaction. Hospital leadership committed resources and several millions of dollars in capital improvements. These efforts have resulted in a successful fiscal year for heart care through Baylor Heart and Vascular Services at Fort Worth. The integration of cardiovascular services across the campuses also allowed us to offer our patients in Fort Worth and Tarrant County advanced cardiovascular technologies and patient-centered care, including access to innovative clinical trial enrollment. We have been pleased at the advancements made within fiscal year 2016 for cardiovascular care and look forward to continuing to grow programs to meet the community’s increasing needs. The growth in the first full year of this collaborative effort was outstanding and included volumes beyond our projections. The medical staff leadership and their engagement in this growth and attention to quality outcomes combined with a dedicated experienced clinical staff led to the successful year. Janice Whitmire, MBA, HCM Chief Operating Officer Baylor Scott & White All Saints Medical Center - Fort Worth Baylor Heart and Vascular Hospital at Fort Worth (BHVH FW) is licensed as an ambulatory surgery center (ASC) by the Texas Department of State Health Services (TDSHS) and operates as a hospital outpatient department of BHVH’s licensed hospital in Dallas pursuant to the Medicare provider-based facility regulations. BHVH FW is located in the same building as Baylor Scott & White All Saints Medical Center - Fort Worth, which operates a separately licensed hospital. Baylor Hamilton Heart and Vascular Hospital includes joint ownership with physicians. 62 Another key highlight of fiscal year 2016 for heart-related care was Baylor Scott & White All Saints Medical Center – Fort Worth became the first facility in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex to earn Cycle V Chest Pain Center Accreditation from the Society of Cardiovascular Patient Care. It is the highest designation for heart attack care, and recognizes Baylor Scott & White – Fort Worth for using best care practices that allow clinicians to reduce time to treatment during the critical early stages of a heart attack. Baylor Scott & White – Fort Worth also has earned Heart Failure Accreditation.
