Cardiac Surgery

The Cardiac Surgery Program at Baylor Heart and Vascular Services at Dallas continues to reach new heights in diagnostics, treatment and prevention. Due to the quality outcomes and expertise of the Cardiovascular Surgery Program, patients are traveling to Baylor University Medical Center at Dallas for conditions that range from routine to intricately complex.
Coronary artery bypass( CABG) surgery represents the highest volume of procedures performed at Baylor University Medical Center. In fact, the hospital’ s cardiac surgery program was ranked in the top ten percent in the nation by the Society of Thoracic Surgeons( STS) for fiscal year 2016. STS recognized Baylor Dallas with a three-star rating, the highest awarded, for the fourth consecutive year for isolated CABG. STS is an international not-for-profit organization of cardiothoracic surgeons, medical professionals and researchers dedicated to promoting quality outcomes for heart, lung and other chest surgeries.
