Do you feel it's getting easier or harder to break out? BD: Hmm, I guess when it comes to mainstream it's still challenging. Shit it's challenging no matter where you are trying to break. The internet allows so many people to create and share music and release videos, so there are more independent music artists somewhat visible to the world than ever before. I think even though the consumer base and labels are more open to LGBTQ artists, it's as hard as it's ever been to be an artist because there is so much to consume and choose from, and very few people make money at it. 'Breaking Out' is something that will continue to be a reach for LGBTQ artists based on the pure fact of audience, but there is progress everyday. S: Finally, favorite kind of donut? BD: PINK! Strawberry frosted with sprinkles.... but also I like a blueberry cake donut.....and there is a peanut butter and jelly donut in Brooklyn that is the best thing ever.....and apple fritters too.
