S: Favorite concert experience from the last year?
BD: I think Iceland was the best. The show itself was fun,
but the whole experience of traveling to Iceland and seeing
that amazing landscape was just super rad....When it comes
to actual show....I think it was at SXSW 2015 when I played
a showcase called Ya'll or Nothing. It was just like one of
those times when it felt so perfect; the set list, the crowd, the
sound and lights, the whole thing was perfect.
S: You are fairly prolific with your music videos, do you
have a favorite?
BD: Hmm…the favorite changes the more I explore new
ideas in music and videos. Meat Quotient is a video I
totally love because it's epic and so visually compelling and
has great cameos from my friends....but I LOVE my video
for Bob N Weave because it is more minimal and shot in
black and white, and I'm very proud of the music.
S: What do you have planned for this summer, any new
releases?
BD: I'm getting ready to release two new music videos for
songs off my EXTRA GOOD ep (available on iTunes). I'll be
focusing on promoting that release thru the end of the summer as I prep for new music release in the fall.
S: 2016 has been a year of tremendous loss for music legends (Natalie Cole, Prince, David Bowie, etc), is there any
living legend you would love to meet before the year is up?
BD: Omigosh I have so many music icons and to me they
are all legends haha. Living in Los Angeles now, there are
so many famous people everywhere. I'd love to meet Nicki
Minaj or Kanye.
