Meet Matt Roos
It isn’t often you meet someone who intentionally
goes out of their way to make people feel better.
With Matt Roos, that’s exactly what you will always
find.
Matt has been in the community for a while, and
if you ever run into him, you will almost definitely
leave with a smile on your face.
And it isn’t just his soft voice or friendly smile that
will give you that warm, fuzzy feeling either.
Matt also sings. And Plays the guitar. And the
piano.
In fact, to start out the interview, Matt was kind
enough to offer a short serenade.
Matt has been leading the music program at the
Cathedral of the Rockies for just over 2 years, now.
But his involvement with the church started long
before that. Originally, he was hired by the church
to be their accountant. They soon discovered his
musical talents, and asked him to help with several
different projects.
Matt has, in one form or another, always been
involved in music, whether at the church, in a band,
the Boise Gay Men’s Chorus, or even when he drops
in at karaoke at The Balcony Club on Sundays or The
Lucky Dog Tavern on Tuesdays.
The man loves music.
