Designers have reworked the classic fur and it prowled
runways from New York to Paris. What gives this luxe classic
a modern edge is the rainbow array of hues, from pastel
pink to cobalt blue - sometimes even combining several
colors into a single coat as seen by Fendi and Salvatore
Ferragamo’s 2016 Ready to Wear Collections. “Today’s
pelts are not your grandma’s furs,” explained fashion
photographer and stylist Kandice Daga. “They combine
patching and patterning with colorful hues in a single coat
to give them a creative look.”

velvet adds a modern edge and it’s easy to do.
Jewelry trends for fall/winter 2016-2017 include cuffs and
bracelets over sleeves, strings of pearls, statement chokers,
single earrings and layering. This season the pearl necklace
returns to its Parisian roots with a vintage twist. “The hottest
look by young jewelry designers is the statement choker and
and there is nothing more elegant than the pearl choker,”
explained Kimmel. The single earring is the biggest trend of
the season and long, graphic, hoop, or cuffs are the way to
wear this trend. Another bold statement is to mashup your
earrings, taking in several styles in one look. Lastly,
chains were lengthened on talisman necklaces and
charm pendants, making them perfect for layering
in stacks and mixing influences.
This holiday season, ditch the clutch handbag and
wear a hands free bag to the party. There are plenty
of clutch alternatives that carry all your necessities,
but let you go hands free. “The long chain is
essential when you want to go hands free. Simply
sling it over the shoulder or wear it cross-body
style,” said Daga. Three trending bags to carry to
all of your festivities are the jewel encrusted purse
worn cross-body as shown by designer Christian
Louboutin, the cool glided shine of the gold mini
box, or Gucci’s floral print shoulder bag which
makes statement all on its own.
