Studying Abroad
Peter-Class 160
Recently, many young people including students in high
school are dreaming of studying abroad. Attracted by advanced
scientific technology, culture, and teaching ways, they are eager
to go to foreign countries, thinking they are bound to have a
bright future. In some teenagers’ eyes, it would be a great
experience if they could study abroad.
But the reality may not be as good as they expect. Some
high school students may find it difficult to get used to the new
surroundings; some can’t put up with the poor living
conditions. Some may give up their studying due to a lack of
self-control and very few of them will finish their studies
successfully.
In my opinion, I think high school students should make
their own decisions according to their different family
backgrounds. But the most important thing is that they must be
clear about their purpose in studying abroad. They should also
be fully prepared because studying abroad is a big decision that
needs to be thought over. What do you think?

A Philosophic Story
Reese-Class 94
At a school, the students often caused trouble. They are very naughty and didn’t
obey the school rule. They often fought with each other and they didn’t forgive each other.
One day, a new teacher came to this school. When he heard about the troubles, he came up
with a good idea.
He told each of his students to bring a clear plastic bag and a bag of potatoes to
school. For every person in their life they didn’t want to forgive, the students chose a
potato, wrote down the person’s name, and put it in the plastic bag. Some of their bags
were very heavy. They were then told to carry this bag with them everywhere for a week.
They would put it beside their bed at night, on the seat when sitting in a car or on a bus,
and next to their desks at school. Days of carrying the bags around with them made the
students get to know what a weight they were carrying in their minds. And they had to pay
attention to it all the time so they didn’t forget it or X]
