Janet Brown began her work at Our House as a Delta Service
Corps member, and she’s still with us after 17 years, now as the
infant teacher in Little Learners. Since our new VISTA program
began in 2007, Our House has had 123 members of AmeriCorps
VISTA, and since 2011 we’ve had 18 additional members who’ve
served with us through other AmeriCorps branches. Joining our
alumni at the anniversary event, our newest members recited the
oath for the first time, beginning their service.
