46TH ANNUAL MEETING
Questions & Comments
Thank you to all everyone that was able to attend
the 46th Annual Meeting of Shareholders! The
Board and OC’s management and staff shared
updates and news from the corporation and heard
shareholder questions and concerns. A summary
of those discussions has been included here to
ensure that shareholders are all aware of details
discussed during our annual meeting.
- A suggestion was brought forward to have OC
build two long buildings to prepare in the event
of an earthquake.
- A shareholder had questions about the
abandonment of work-in-progress - in 2017
it was $96,300 and in 2018 it was $703,500.
Management replied that work-in-progress is
when a project is ongoing - before it’s finalized
- and in this case, it was primarily for the Dick’s
Triangle housing development.
- A shareholder asked what made up the
professional fees in 2017 and 2018. Management
shared that former CFO Rick Miller was paid as
a contractor instead of a salary, and professional
fees associated with the Settlement Trust were
examples that might not have been present
before 2017. Leadership shared that it’s necessary
to employ professionals such as accountants,
lawyers, and consultants to protect and grow the
company, and that a direct correlation can be
made between these professional fees and the
