Once we start the other programmes , we can definitely do something like that . Likewise , we can also collaborate with schools in La Línea , San Roque and Algeciras . We have to go down those paths , especially in La Línea . We already know that La Línea was born because Gibraltar was right next door . There was nothing in the area , it almost made no sense , it was just an impressive sandbank with the closest other town being San Roque , therefore , we could say that La Línea was born as Gibraltar ’ s daughter , that is why I believe that the two cities have to understand each other . On top of that , I think that La Línea and Gibraltar need to enter into a new phase of cooperation , which is of course what we as an organisation work towards , culture , science , education , these are all issues that shouldn ’ t have borders . And of course , environmental issues . Issues that affect us here also affect you over there . If there is smoke from the refinery , it affects us all , likewise , the water and the bay that we all share . El mayor es un ingeniero informático , y viaja mucho , va a Cardiff , Londres , Ámsterdam con una compañía de informática grande . Y el pequeño que es médico , también estudio en Málaga y desde el primer año de los estudios de medicina hizo la asignatura en inglés y en español . Y ya en España hay muchos colegios bilingües , mi nieto por ejemplo esta ahora mismo en infantil con 5 años y ya le están enseñando el inglés . Afortunadamente han cambiado los tiempos . Pero yo me refiero a la universidad con estudios más avanzados , y la Universidad de Málaga tiene profesores ingleses nativos , médicos por ejemplo que dan clases en la Facultad de Medicina en inglés . ¿ Qué le valió a mi hijo ? Pues le valió estar en el hospital de Marbella exclusivamente con personas que hablan inglés . Eso es esencial , para nosotros y para vosotros también el español , porque os da una movilidad impresionante . Pues todo esto que estamos comentando , también lo vamos a trabajar mucho , el tema del bilingüismo , por eso os decía que cualquier actividad que hagamos en educación va a ir siempre enfocada a los dos idiomas . ¿ Habéis considerado o planeado hacer algunos cursos o conferencias en la Universidad de Gibraltar sobre este tema ?
Algo hemos hablado con Daniella . Ya sabemos que Daniella fue la que inició el tema de la Universidad . Y estamos pendientes de entrevistas con el profesorado para hacer alguna colaboración , y sobre todo en los terrenos donde yo me muevo , en la inteligencia emocional , pues se podría hacer algo . Además , dentro del equipo , sí que tengo doctores que hablan muy bien inglés , entonces podríamos dar algunos cursos . ¿ También habéis pensado en hacer algún programa en los colegios de Gibraltar ?
En el momento en que empecemos con estos programas , evidentemente lo vamos a hacer . Igualmente , en los colegios de La Línea , San Roque y Algeciras se puede hacer esa cooperación . Tenemos que ir por esos caminos , sobre todo con La Línea . Ya sabemos que La Línea nació porque estaba Gibraltar , en el área de La Línea no había nada , casi no tenía sentido , era un Arenal impresionante y era la ciudad más próxima a San Roque , entonces nació digamos como la hija de Gibraltar , entonces son dos ciudades
