Help us shape our Equity , Diversity and Belonging strategy
RCOT has drafted an Equity , Diversity and Belonging ( EDB ) strategy with the support of our EDB reference group , made up of members , staff and public contributors and an independent organisation , Enventure Research .
Having this strategy is an essential step on our journey to creating a culture of authenticity and belonging – where everyone is welcomed , celebrated , supported , recognised , valued and belongs as their true and authentic selves .
Equity , diversity and belonging is all our responsibility . It ’ s essential we all work together to create the change we need . And so , we ’ d really like your feedback on the following :
• Are our ambition and proposed priorities and aims clear to you ?
• Do they inspire you to take action ?
• How effective do you think our strategy will be in achieving positive and lasting change ?
• Is the language and terminology used easy to understand and appropriate ?
• Is there anything you were expecting to see which isn ’ t included ?
• How do you feedback ?

New guide launched to help people manage their energy levels
On 27 June , RCOT launched a new guide on managing your energy levels , that ’ s filled with practical advice for people recovering from illness or managing long-term health conditions .
It ’ s common to have low energy and feel more tired than usual when you ’ re unwell , recovering from an illness , or managing a long-term condition . Even simple tasks , such as putting on shoes , can be hard work , which can lead to feelings of frustration , isolation and anger that then contribute to fatigue .
This guide goes through techniques that can help you manage your energy when completing across different tasks , through the 3Ps principle ( Pace , Plan and Prioritise ).
