Profession and best practice Develop a workforce strategy for occupational therapy and influence key stakeholders and policy across the UK , including delivering the Health Education England ( HEE ) Workforce Reform Project – to determine what the future workforce of occupational therapy should look like and ensure the sustainability of the profession .
Run campaigns , sometimes with partners through alliances and coalitions , in key areas of occupational therapy practice – such as community rehabilitation , social and primary care , to highlight need and promote best practice and innovation .
Strengthen our position as the go-to resource for information on workforce , innovation and service examples for members and external stakeholders .
Increase our profile Launch our new brand to position RCOT and the profession and to drive more awareness and opportunities for occupational therapy and therapists throughout the UK .
Expand our social media presence to be a more active , leading voice for occupational therapy and the people it impacts – opening up conversations and reaching more people .
Form collaborative alliances to benefit occupational therapy
Leaders Bring together key occupational therapy leaders from across the UK ’ s health and social care systems at events to discover and plan how we can engage , understand and support them to work together on the biggest opportunities in the profession .
Education and careers Support the development of innovative preregistration entry routes and pathways to the profession by collaborating with relevant people and organisations .
Promote career progression through to advanced practice and consultant roles , highlighting research opportunities , illustrating role models and career journeys .
Be a more active , leading voice for occupational therapy and the people it impacts
