We are looking back over the unforgettable year we ’ ve had with a montage of pictures to remember the highlights of 2020 .
REHABILITATION
Rehabilitation became a top priority in rebuilding the country ’ s health and care sectors this year , as we recover from the impact of the pandemic . It has also put occupational therapy very much centre stage . We have produced a number of new resources to support our members , including a guide for occupational therapists , Rehabilitation for people recovering from COVID-19 .
ROYAL VISITS
HRH The Princess Royal met with members from Hywel Dda University Local Health Board in Wales . She viewed demonstrations of therapy interventions and spoke about occupational therapists ’ unique skillset and their vital role in supporting people to live independently . HRH also recognised members ’ impressive response to the pandemic in a thank you letter and video .
BIG REHAB CONVERSATIONS
A series of Big Rehab Conversations were held with members this summer , focusing on different themes and rehabilitation areas in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic . Many of you joined us in these virtual webinars to discuss how occupational therapists can meet the increased and changing needs during and after the pandemic .
