Assessment of Motor and Process Skills ( AMPS ) tools update
The Centre for Innovative of Solutions ( CIOTS ), which is the sole supplier of the AMPS , ESI and School AMPS tools , has stopped the provisioning of AMPS , ESI , School AMPS , ACP-OP and ACQ- SI tools with immediate effect .
There are now no courses available for any of these tools in a face-to-face or online format . Therefore , anyone who has not yet trained to use these tools is no longer able to undertake this training . Current AMPS online course participants are required to complete the course by 31 May 2023 .
For anyone who is trained in any of these tools and has a current up-to-date OTAP license , CIOTS is making an option for a perpetual license available . It has now released further information about this , which can be found on the website and needs to be actioned by 31 May 2023 . Visit www . innovativeotsolutions . com . RCOT joins coalition to call for representation on the proposed SEND workforce planning steering group
RCOT has joined a number of health and care organisations in writing to the Minister for Children , Families and Wellbeing , in response to the Special Educational Needs and Disabilities ( SEND ) and Alternative Provision ( AP ) Improvement Plan for England published in March .
In the letter , RCOT urges the Minister to include # SENDInTheSpecialists representatives on the proposed steering group that will link up education , health , and social care at a national level , with a focus on meeting the needs of children and young people with SEND efficiently and effectively .
Dr Sally Payne , RCOT Professional Adviser for Children , Young People and Families said : ‘ The SEND and AP Improvement Plan makes some positive commitments when it comes to the government ’ s willingness to work alongside children and young people and workers across the SEND system to deliver improvements .
