These reailers are privately owned, they can come with a high risk but if successful will bring a high reward. Locations can be varied due to the popularity and type of product being offered, they often offer products that are niche but can be of any type.
Customer service is more personal they are experts in what they sell, the retailer will get to know the customer so you can offer the right product at the right time. Because of the products offered prices can be more luxury, in general prices are higher than average retail prices.
Supermarket
A supermarket is a large store sellig food and household goods. Generally supermarkets are found in town centers or high streets allowing customers to make purchases whenever they need.
Supermarkets stock a varity of products depending on the size of the store. All supermarkets offer food but some will also have a further products such as electronics, homewear and clothing.

Not for profit
Not for profit are retailers that do not make any profit from their sales, they will give the profit from sales to charities, eg Oxfam, these are located in high streets and small towns. They will sell many different products from clothing to DVD’s, prices will be at a discount also as the products are second hand.
