Another significa n t interview was discussing issues ofsuccess and hard work with Dr. Raya Al Manthari, a lecturer at Sultan Qaboos University. Dr Al Manthari spoke about the importance of planning and perseverancein achieving goals despite all the struggles and challenges faced on the way to accomplishing them. And during the month of Ramadan, the broadcast team prepared a special episode that tackeled religious issues. The program included recorded interviews discussing different issues of relvance to students abroad, being dealt with from a religious perspective. One of these interviews was with Dr. Saif Al Hadi, a famous media figure in Oman, who discussed the different ways of how to present a true image of being an Omani, and most importantly being a Muslim. The other interview was with Dr. Salim Al Naamani, a well-known religious scholar and public speaker,who talked about the significance of the holy month of Ramadan, and how to spend it abroad, facing all difficulties that may be encountered while being away from Oman. The main goal of this program was to include a variety of different topics, as well as discuss- ing issues of concern to Omani students overseas with known figures in Oman, such as the Omani poets Kamil Al Bathari, Meshaal Al Sarmi and Ahmed Al Abri. The program also includ- ed competitions where listeners compete by answering questions related to the topics tackeled in each episode, using social media to send their answers. Winners were given special prices, such as Trips to Meccah in Saudi Arabia, presentedby Quba for Haj and Umrah. The Consulate-General of the Sultanate of Oman in Melbourne praised the efforts of the team, and encouraged them to continue the efforts in serving all Omani students across the globe. The team was also presented with a Certificate of Merit from the Ministry of Higher Education in honor of the efforts made during their first season of the program. With promis- ing plans, the team will continue exerting their efforts in presenting the best for all Omani students abroad. 13 1
