Every person has special abilities distinguishing [ him / her from others. Through such unique abilities, one obtains the power that enables him / her to succeed and make dreams come true. Fatema Mohammed Al Amri is an inspiring example of success to others. She is an Assistant Lecturer in the Design Department at Nizwa College of Applied Sciences, and the founder of Trees of Tales Project. Trees of Tales is an interactive application that encourages children to read and love reading by integrating fun with knowledge via a group of Omani tales and well-known Arabian characters such as ' Joha ', ' Owaysha ' and ' Ahmed, the Hunter’. Fatema got the idea while working on how to join fun with learning using the new technological aids including‘ iPads’, as part of her PhD study. Fatema ' s specialization in IT and designin addition to being a mother have enabled her to come up with such a brilliant idea. She could realize howtoday ' s children would prefer to learn using the new technology. She used different programs including Photoshop and Unity to work on this project. It took a year for the drawing and design of the application, and three months for trying it out. The application is now available in the App Store in the English version, consisting of six stories. Fatema is looking forward to developing the application and introducing it in the Arabic language with more interesting stories.
