can embark on this journey , do think whether you really want to do it . If the answer is “ Yes ”, go ahead and plan it strategically with backup options and other necessary arrangements . Needless to say , it ' s an exciting career . I sincerely wish many more students from OUCE opt for Civil Services .
How do you think the younger generation should be prepared for the future ( both in professional and personal development aspects )? Well , the changes that are taking place are very rapid and very challenging for the younger generation both personally and professionally . Professionally , they have to develop the skills needed for new challenges . The skills you learn as a part of your academic curriculum is very fundamental and one has to be very strong in them . However , one has to develop them to a professional level with their own interest and passion . My advice to the students is to form clubs in the college for their interests ( e . g .: VLSI designing , Debating etc ) and build on it . One would learn many things through such informal learning platforms in addition to the formal course curriculum . These activities not only enhance their technical skills but also interpersonal skills . Holistic development of one ’ s personality is very essential for both professional and personal success .
Any other advice you wish to give to students as an Alumni ? The college days are undoubtedly one of the best years of your life . The friends you make , the bonding you develop would last for a lifetime . The skills you develop and the learning you take home from here are the stepping stones and lead you to success . How best you can utilize this time would decide your future and the future of this country . Make the best use of this time . After all , we have only one life . Why not live it to the fullest ?
