Also during their visit, students took part
in an Art workshop that focused on Quentin Blake illustrations and involved students creating their own Blake style art work to tie in with Roald Dahl day.
The two days were a huge success and all students were a credit to their primary school. It also served to show how giving students a real audience and purpose for their work can help to enthuse them and motivate them to really concentrate on the quality of their written work. Students will receive the recordings of their work to see themselves on television and to share with their friends and family. We hope the work is something they can be very proud of and they continue
to produce writing of such high quality.
Congratulations to all of the students and a big thank you to the staff that made the project such a positive and enjoyable one.
