Women at Wharf Get Serious About Creating Choices!
From the Mine Site to the Jungle— He’ s a Leader!

Recently, Hugh Weyer, Dan Axlund and Caren Goodrich had the opportunity to attend Safety Leadership Training( SLT) in Reno, NV. The week-long training provides participants with a fresh perspective on safety and leadership. It teaches the difference between leadership and management and how to challenge and change the status quo.
Towards the end of the training the class completes a Peer- Ranking Exercise where every person is given a scenario and must nominate five leaders from the group based on pre-set behavior guidelines. You can read the scenario and behavioral guidelines provided below:

Wharf’ s Maintenance Planner, Hugh Weyer, was selected as the number one leader by his group! Hugh was perceived in his group as an inherent leader and was rewarded with a custom-made knife.
