Attractive group of 34 covers canceled at the Pan-American
Exposition with various special machine cancels. Great
selection of corner cards, couple of all-over designs, Expo
committees, one postcard, others. Many franked with PanAmerican stamps, noted a couple of expo labels, one to Mexico
was returned to sender. Includes Bomar types B-01-07 with
bars (x6); B-01-14 & 14A oval with number ‘1’ (x6); B-01-15
oval with number ‘2’, one mute (x8); B01-16A & B triangle
(x12); B-01-19A flag (x1); and B-01-20A 1899 receiver (x1).
Overall fine and better.

Extremely scarce franking, acid tied on cover with 10¢ 1847
Issue. Cover mailed Oct 19, 1849, from Philadelphia to
Kentucky. 10¢ stamp has three margins (in at right) and tied
by blue cancel. Cover worn with backflap tear (‘slight flaws’
per cert). Still, extremely scarce item. Good. (2013 APS Cert
#204088) Cat $5000.

Fresh impression & margins all around. Very fine stamp tied
by two red manuscript crayon strokes and very light (partially
erased) pencil docketing, on cover to North Camden. Cover
missing backflap, pen and pencil notations front & back, very
fine. Scarce, only 11 covers recorded! Cat $3000.

and way undervalued on cover. Makes for a tremendous
showpiece! (2012 PF Cert #505028). Cat $1250.

Blue 5¢ entire with blue embossed Pan-American Expo seal
as corner card, additional franking of 5¢ Grant First Bureau,
tied by 11/7/99 Buffalo, NY oval machine cancel with ‘Pan
American Exposition’ and ‘2’ within bars (Bomar #B-01-15).
Addressed to Brazil, crossed out in blue crayon, violet
‘Returned to Writer’ hand and 2/14/00 Washington DC duplex
also on front. Backside also busy, with two 12/9/99 Rio de
Janeiro receivers, 12/25/99 Brazilian ‘Refugo’ cancel (‘reject’),
violet 2/14/00 Dead Letter Office F.D.U.S. postmark and 2/15
Buffalo cancel with adjacent ‘Received 2’ in oval. Attractive,
fine to very fine.

Group of 25 different almost entirely registered, each with a
different pictorial or fancy cancel of the times on George Rogers
Clark issues, including one used to Germany (Genesee Depot,
WI ‘USA’). Others include Bug, KY; Star City, IN; Ed, KY
(face, star and others); Manistique, MI (fan); Pacolet Mills,
SC (Armistice Day, Liberty Torch, and others); Diamond, WY;
Fifty Six, AR; Pine Village, IN; Vincennes, IN (Minuteman);
Indianapolis, IN (blue race car and green duplex); Savannah,
IL (Indian Rock); and more. Very scarce and mostly matching
items. Fine.
