Very fine single on orange local cover, stamp canceled with
nice strike of target cancel, West Rush, NY cds at left, very
fine. Cat $525.

Single with highly visible grill on cover bound for Vienna (via
Bremen). Cover bears attractive red Aug. 25 ‘NEW YORK
PAID ALL DIRECT’ marking near dead center, Sept 7 Hamburg
transit marking and (on reverse) Sept 9 Vienna receiving mark.
Stamp understandably has few perf faults with a tiny tear on
reverse, but this is a pretty cover. From long buried Ezra D.
Cole stock. Cat $310.

Straddle copy tied to April 14, 1868 folded letter to England
by black New York circle of wedges cancel. Cover bears red
London Paid cancel, NY packet mark and Warrington receiver
on reverse. Fine. Cat $550.
