1922-23 LARGE GERMAN NOTGELD COLLECTION
..................................................... View photo online $400-600
During the hyperinflation period in 1920s Germany these notes
were issued when banks were incapable of keeping up with
the printing of official banknotes. These colorful pieces of
historic currency are very popular and many are miniature
pieces of Art themselves. Topics vary from churches to nudes
with some having anti-semitic themes. Owner of this lot
indicates a total of 1,390 mostly different pieces in generally
excellent condition. They are on stock pages or in envelopes
with a count on each envelope. Fascinating and potentially
valuable group.
