Discipline-specific ‘ learning by doing ’, coupled with team-based learning and co-curricular activities , allows students to develop their specialist and transferable skills both through the curriculum and in the wider student experience . For some students , professional work experience will be an important aspect of ‘ learning by doing ’ and a means of enhancing their employability .
Queen Mary University of London launches new degree apprenticeships
Queen Mary University of London with PricewaterhouseCoopers ( PwC ), has become the first Russell Group University in London to offer two new degree apprenticeships in IT consultancy and data analytics respectively .
Students accepted on to the programme will gain a degree from a leading Russell Group University , and , as an apprentice at PwC , will earn a monthly salary as they undertake their studies alongside on-the-job learning .
