Complaints about pests?
Here’s how to respond!
ACTUAL APARTMENT REVIEWS
SOURCE: APARTMENTRATINGS.COM
This is a nice friendly community but the apttown homes are not that good. They need to
be upgraded for the price they want. This
place is effected with roaches and mice and do
not recommend this plan to my own dog. LOL.
Looking for another place for my family.
I lived there for two days when I discovered
roaches in my kitchen!!! Not sure if it was just
our building but others in my building
complained of the same problem. At first when
I complained the maintenance guy tried to say
it was a water bug not a roach. Water bugs are
what county people call roaches so basically he
was trying to trick us. So the next time we saw
one we caught it and it was carrying an egg sac
on its back...Yuck!!!
MICE! These buildings seem to have an
infestation of rodents. I am aware that living in
any high rise or any apartment building you will
be subjected to this issue. 1-2 encounters with
a rodent in the winter, that is perfectly normal.
However, it is no longer winter and the
problem has not ceased.
STOP WHILE YOU'RE AHEAD!! BIG RATS SMALL
MICE AND BATS GALORE.
I also keep a pretty clean apartment and I'm
already far too fed up with the roaches and bed
bugs, unfortunately I live on a small, limited
and fixed income and other apartments I've
checked out that I could afford are either as
bad as this place or worse so unfortunately I'm
stuck here in hopes they eventually do get their
act together.
One night about 3 rodents started running
around my apartment. It was disgusting and
unsanitary.
SAMPLE RESPONSE FOR REVIEWS REGARDING PESTS:
First off, I apologize that you did not enjoy your stay with
us. It is always our goal to provide our residents with a
home that is comfortable. Since this is an anonymous
review, I am unable to address each concern specifically
however I would like to respond with some information
that could be helpful to you as well as to those who may be
considering living at our community.
Pests in apartment homes are a major issue at
communities across the country. We strongly encourage all
residents to report pests upon first encounter. This will
allow us to schedule a professional treatment of the
apartment home. Extermination services, while used to
eradicate the existence of pests and prevent future
infestations, is only effective when residents work with the
management team to ensure that their trash is removed
daily and the apartment home is kept clean.
Residents and the management team working together can
also greatly effect a community's pest control issue. Should
you find that pests have entered your home, or returned
after treatment, understand they could be coming from a
neighboring apartment home. As these issues are made
known to the management team, we may be able to
determine the source and treat that apartment home as
well. All of this depends on first notifying the office.
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review about your
experiences at our community. We sincerely regret any
inconveniences you have encountered and encourage all
residents in your situation to contact us directly so we may
be allowed the opportunity to provide a speedy resolution.
