MADY O'BRIEN
Olympia's loss is Zebras gain
This week OTKTB was fortunate to catch up with Tilford Zebras new signing Mady O'Brien
O'Brien who has had successful stints at Olympia FC and NTC spoke to OTKTB about her decision to join a rival club.
What was the contributing factor in signing for Zebras?
I was in in need for a new club, a place where no one new me and just have a fresh start .
What are your expectations at Zebras... How do you think you will go?
The main aspect for me is to enjoy the game and for the little time I have been training with zebras everyone has welcomed me with open arms. With the amount of players showing up it may give me the chance to move around more on the pitch in different positions. I had my first chance to play for the club against Glenorchy Knights in the Statewide Cup and didn't perform the way I would have liked too. I have now put that past me and I'm excited for the season to start. I think that Zebras will really challenge me this season and I am looking forward to it with such talented footballers.
How hard is it leaving Olympia?
Leaving Olympia was very hard.
Just like any club you form together like a family and as anyone would know leaving your family is very hard. John was and will be like a father to me seeing him more than three days a week.
When Eamonn first started coaches us I never missed a session because of how much the intensity changed, getting to know both is so
