4.2 . eSafety and eTwinning
eSafety relates to what considerations should be taken into account when working on the internet . eTwinning offers a safe platform for staff ( teachers , head teachers , librarians , etc .), working in a school in one of the European countries involved , to communicate , collaborate , develop projects , share and , in short , feel and be part of the most exciting learning community in Europe . Teachers who register in eTwinning are checked by the National Support Service ( NSS ) and are validated in order to use all the eTwinning features .
However , there are issues relating to working on the internet in a safe and secure way , that everybody , teachers and students alike should be aware of and be equipped for to the benefit of all , from online buying to the publication of images . Every citizen in today ’ s world is also a citizen of the digital world and needs to understand what the rights and responsibilities of being a digital citizen are .
