ordered the construction of the former
judicial library in the special wing of the
imperial residence. His statue stands in the
center of the room - surrounded by four
magnificent Venetian balls. With elegant
gestures, he invites you to admire the
greatness of the library
The hall is breathtaking - 80 meters long and
20 meters high. An elaborately decorated
dome and numerous frescoes provide imperial
talent. This baroque gemstone is home to
over 200,000 volumes. Four magnificent
Venetian balls, each with a diameter of more
than one meter, provide the final touch to the
heart of the Austrian National Library.
