Since 1920 in the Styrian village of Piber live the
famous Lipitsans. As the only spire in Austria,
Piber's role is to breed the Lipizzanese stallions,
who will later demonstrate their skills at the world-
famous Spanish Riding School in Vienna.
Heldenberg in Lower Austria is the third site of the
Spanish Riding School. On the one hand, stallions
are trained and trained in this place. On the other
hand, they spend their well-earned summer
vacation - two to three weeks - in nature. Moreover,
in Höldenberg, riders are given the opportunity to
improve their riding in different courses. The golden
cockerel of this church can be seen from anywhere
in Old Riga, and from its observation deck a
breathtaking panorama of the city opens.
The first mention of the church of St. Peter is dated
1209 year. It was a large hall divided by three naves,
and a separate tower. In the XIV century, the clock
was first placed on the tower.
In the XV century, it was decided to rebuild the
church. Then came the present basilica and a new
altarpiece with a chapel. Work was completed on
the construction of the octagonal spire.
In the XVI century, in connection with the
destruction of the reformers of the House of
Blackheads and the Town Hall, the church became
the center of power and began to function as a
political and economic center.
