Sam Fastle

Previously a member of the FactoryONE Mototrials Sherco USA team , Sam Fastle had a busy 2020 . Not only was he continuing to train for the upcoming AMA NATC National Mototrials Championship , which was sadly canceled for 2020 , he became a member of Team TRS , took a job as a New Product Engineer , and added another member to his ever-growing family .
On the Pegs met up with him at the season opener of the local Trials Inc series to learn more about the change in brands , and what else Sam has been up to .
STARTING OFF WITH THE BIG QUESTION : WHY SWITCH TO TRS ?
I switched to trs because back in november of 2020 , I quit my job working at Sherco USA . When I left there , I was looking for something different . It didn ' t feel like my future really belonged there anymore , so after I quit , I terminated my contract with FactoryONE as well . I had been looking at the TRS and really liked them . I knew that with Sherco USA moving down to Texas , there ' d be a void to really sell bikes or supply / support the local trials community here , so I thought maybe there might be an opportunity to be a dealer . There ' s no trs dealer within 500 miles of here , so I called up Jim Snell and started talking to him and decided to become a dealer for TRS .

So that ' s when I switched to TRS , and I ' ve been loving it so far . It has been a real good switch , and the bike is incredible ! It ' s definitely different from the Sherco ; it seems like it ' s faster than a Sherco and it ' s leaving me behind a lot , but I ' m getting a better feel for it and I ' m excited to see what it will do this year .
I have the 300 Raga Racing edition with the electric start as well as the kickstart . Josh Roper ' s the other Pro riding the TRS , and he opted for no electric start . I wanted to check
