New England native , Johnny Girroir has had a roller coaster of a career . Growing up racing as much off-road as he could in order to make himself a well-rounded racer , he had won five J-Day championships before he decided to try his hand at the GNCC circuit .
He took a break after racing his first GNCC in 2007 in the 85cc 7-11 class , which he won , only to return in 2013 and again in 2017 racing the XC1 class .
In 2018 , he was picked up by Rod Marshall of MCS Racing to race the XC2 class , and this is where his string of bad luck began . Racing 11 of the 13 rounds that year , he ended up tearing his MCL , missing the final rounds and finding himself in a twelfth-place finish .
Soon afterwards , he was picked up by the Trail Jesters team , but after just the first three rounds of podium finishes , found himself in the hospital .
Bouncing back yet again , Johnny has been a force to be reckoned with in the current season , both in the new US Spring Enduro series and the GNCCs . At the time of this interview , Johnny has taken the win in all five rounds of the US Sprint Enduro , and six wins out of seven rounds in the
