PHOTO CREDIT - ROOTS ROCKS AND MUD me all weekend . I used to be a really twitchy guy ; I still kind of am , so I get pretty good starts , but that EnduroCross section was the first thing we hit . Since I don ' t have any championship points , they put me on the third row for the qualifiers ; it was just the rest of the Pro class , so I only had to take off with three other guys . I knew that I didn ’ t have to get the holeshot because as soon as we hit the logs and the tires , I have that technical ability , and I ' m really happy I do .
It worked well all day , all weekend , except for the main event where somebody got mixed up on the tires . I took a weird line , and I had the stock chain device on my bike and it
popped the chain off in the tires . So I had to drop my bike off these tires and then stop and pull the chain out , roll the bike back , get the chain back on , and then I could go .
It was just not the way you wanted to start a five-hour hardest-raceyou ’ ve-ever-raced kind of day . The EnduroCross section worked out well all day , but it was chaos for a lot of people .
That ' s the last race of the year , so I ' m satisfied ending this year with at least a good , decent result for the circumstances I was in . There ’ s no telling what the future holds ; I think if I spent a little more time practicing , I would be in a lot better
