so much, that I even employed a coach to help me relate to her. My eyes were opened, and to my astonishment, she made sense. I knew that we belonged together. She helped me find my true voice. We worshipped together in church and at home. I began to sing to her song after song. My spirit was connected with her. In honor of my dear mother, we would sing some of the many solos she has performed in church. Then we branched out and learned more and more songs that I had never perfected. Before long, we performed songs for anyone who would listen.

You see, my first love was the piano. I was afraid to approach it through the years, because it had been so intimidating. I played various other instruments that seemed easier and later settled into the electric bass guitar. People began to know me by this

instrument and felt it was my calling. Deep down, I always knew that the piano was for me. I made the transition and it has been a love affair ever since. Some people still try to convince me to play the bass, but I tell them I play the piano now. I am very thankful that my wife has supported me every step of the way. Finally I was able to articulate the voice that I have been hearing deep in my soul.
