NEW WAYS WITH A WINTER FAVOURITE!
BY SAM & JORDI WOODS
T
he middle of winter. The weather
is cold, so out come the big coats,
cosy knitwear and yes a favourite
for many – the scarf!
This season scarves have taken on a
whole new role in our wardrobes. Not
only are they cosy essentials, this winter
they are a trending must have.
Time to style up your outfits with
fashionable-function! We have 5 new
ways to style a scarf and the 3 types of
scarves you need to get creative with.
Scarves to try:
The Silk Scarf: Silk is a magical, natural
fibre that will keep you cool in summer
and warm in winter due to its
breathability. Therefore, this light weight,
luxurious fabric makes styling super
practical all year round and a viable
investment in your wardrobe to enjoy on
multiple occasions.
The “Snood”: A “snood” is a combination
between a scarf and a hood. It has no end
as it is joined together to form a loop. This
simple design means it can be worn in
multiple ways or just simply draped around
the neck with minimum fuss or effort
The Mini Scarf: Easy to manage and
perfect for when a long or chunky scarf is
just too much fabric or bulk. This season
the mini scarf is
“multi tasking”
with outfits and
not just worn
around the neck
for warmth as you
will see below.
5 new ways
to style your scarf
1. Loop it around
the strap or
handle of
your handbag,
creating a new
look strap!
2. Fasten it
around a ponytail
3. Tie it around your handbag
4. Knot it at your neck
5. Drape it around your shoulders and
fasten with a brooch
The secret to styling a scarf is not to
fuss! The more you fuss trying to make it
perfect the more frustrated you end up
because it isn’t “perfect”. So have fun,
don’t take scarf styling too seriously and
let your creative mind get to work!
