Hospital, has officially opened
in Kanwal directly opposite Wyong
Public Hospital. The $31 million hospital
welcomed its first patient in May and has
already treated over 1300 patients in its
first four months.
Tuggerah Lakes Private has attracted
quality specialists and surgeons from
across the Central Coast, Sydney and
Newcastle, including a number of child-
focused (paediatric) surgeons for Ear,
Nose and Throat, Orthopaedic Surgeons,
Urologists, Gynaecologists and renowned
paediatric Dentist, Associate Professor
Angus Cameron.
Unlike other hospitals, Tuggerah
Lakes Private Hospital has been specially
designed to provide a relaxed yet

professional environment for its patients,
with high-end ‘hotel’ accommodation, an
on-site café and radiology services, plus
some special touches for its youngest
patients. These include scooters which
allow children to ‘drive themselves’ into
the Operating Theatre, giving them more
control in an unfamiliar environment.

Up on the Ward, the rooms are all
individual private rooms with an ensuite,
ensuring families have their own space
